French Quarter Morning Walking Tour

French Quarter Morning Walking Tour

The perfect tour for teetotalers, lunatics, or anyone game for early-morning masochism. The best time in the Vieux Carre is good and early. No drinky winky on this tour, so bring your teenagers along. It's a long tour and all history, so it may not be the best for younger kids. See the quieter side of the quarter with expert guide and one of the last remaining New Orleans natives, Jace Douglas Johnson. His family goes back to the very beginning of New Orleans, and his great great great grandfather was Major General Pierre Denis DeLaRonde, hero of the Battle of New Orleans and American Revolution. The tour is 2.7 miles long. You need to be in decent shape to do this. This is not a private tour, but Jace likes to keep this tour small and simple, just like his mind. A maximum of eight participants total. We provide you with a list of recommendations at the end of the tour. Our goal is to keep you out of the tourist traps by giving you the inside scoop only locals have.
