Quick Overview

Tour bus was on time and comfortable and Bob was knowledgeable. On such a short tour though we were disappointed to wait 20 minutes at the cafe de Monde because folks should know to eat beforehand. We would’ve preferred to use that time to see more areas. It was nice to see NOLA outside of the French Quarter and get a little history.

Cool sights and we were excited to see the cemetary. However, it started fine but the driving was scary. Our tour guide was also the driver, and he kept pulling in front of other cars and having near misses. He kept breaking hard and we nearly hit a cop car, as well as a street post. The driver couldn't remember how to get people back to thier hotels, one couple just settled close to thier hotel and walked the rest of the way. He openly used google maps with 1 hand as he tried to drive with the other. The tour was good, worthy of a 5 if we had a better tour guide.

I expected the highlight of this tour to be the beautiful homes in the garden district and they were wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the historical information provided by our guide Lee. We learned so much about the various cultures of the area as well as about the areas most devastated by Katrina. Also about curious burial rituals! Thank you Lee for a great tour! Highly recommended.
