The fact the speaker was very engaging and informative with a side of humor. Me and my mom enjoyed the learning how the food was made and what it took to make it

Delightful and Delicious Dining Experience

Delightful and delicious demonstration dining experience. A history lesson as well as a cooking lesson! Chef Tom was a wealth of information. A food tour without the walking. Excellent option any time, but certainly in inclement weather.

Great stories, food and atmosphere.

Title says it all, but apparently it needs more characters because of course giving 5 stars and a short, sweet and accurate 5 words or 31 characters isn’t enough. If your into it or curious about the local cuisine and history, do it.

Let’s go our separate ways now that it’s over

It was fine — the etouffee was a bit flavorless but everything else was good — but I wish the cooking school would let me opt out of all the follow up emails, they are bombarding me. I don’t live in New Orleans so I don’t need to know about every upcoming cooking event.

Excellent experience to come back to!

Excellent! Excellent! Everyone will have a different experience with different chefs, crowds, and people you bring. Our class had a few people that make this a regular thing for themselves. The food was excellent and I love that we got the recipes to take home!

Cooking Class with pizzazz

The class was lead by Harriet. She is a very enthusiastic teacher and historian who knows about Louisiana cuisine. The food tasting was wonderful. We watched her make Gumbo, Jambalaya and lastly, Pralines. I would take her other classes any time. Well worth the money.

Food, Comedy & Culture!
Imogene_M
, Nov 2021
The class was both informative & entertaining. It exceeded my expectations. The food was tasty and the chef shared so much historical information about the Creole, German, French and American influence on the culture. Who can resist food, comedy & history all in one?
