We had two eagle...

We had two eagle sightings along the way! It was great to see them in the wild. The only issue or annoying thing was that the narration was never in sync with the location and was turned up so loud we had trouble hearing each other.

Flagstaff car crew were special on 1/18/22

The staff makes the experience special. The crew that worked the flagstaff car on 1/18/22 were outstanding.

Beware third-party booking
, Jan 2022
Unfortunately booking through Viator, set us up for failure. The confirmation email and tickets did not state you have to arrive 45 minutes ahead of the scheduled trip. We arrived at the time of departure and because of this we were unable to board the train and missed the experience. The gal at the depot said this happens all the time to people when booking through Viator. Lastly, Viator states there is a shuttle service available although it’s not included their fee. The gal at the depot said there is no shuttle service and it creates confusion for a lot of their guests. Hopefully we will get to experience the adventure on our next trip and or get refunded.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this caused you. Hopefully you can reschedule for another departure date. Thank you for sharing the information about the non-existent shuttle service. We will look into this.

It was a lot of fun. Everyone should do it. Put it on your bucket list! The scenic views were amazing. Carolyn, our car hostess, was a lot of fun, and very attentive. Loved the whole experience.

Christmas Magic!
, Jan 2022
This was one of the most special things we did on our Christmas trip to Sedona. There were 7 of us and all agreed it was wonderful and magical. We did not have to wait at all and everyone involved in the tour was super great. We were expecting snacks but we were surprised to be served much more than a snack. It was delicious. It was also fun ordering drinks to enjoy during the view. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thank you so much for joining us. We are so glad you enjoyed the "magic" of both the holidays and our wonderful train experience. Come back any time!
It's okay, hyped by other landscapes. It doesn't have any part of Sedona. :(

Verde canyon is not that great sightseeing. Most of Arizona is much more beautiful. Train host was nice, and told us good stories. However, it's not worth $110 per ticket. It may be more beautiful during summer, but definitely not so much during winter.

We appreciate that you gave Verde Canyon Railroad a try. We know that our experience isn't for everyone. We do hope the rest of your Verde Valley visit was rewarding.
What a great train ride!
, Jan 2022
We loved this train ride through the Verde canyon! Our two children (8&10) also had a great time. The snack was very nice ( crackers, cheeses & fruit), couches super comfortable and the open cart super nice to catch a glimpse of the outdoors. The guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the area which made the ride that much more interesting. Highly recommended!

Thank you Betty. We LOVE that our train ride is multigenerational and offers something for everyone.
